Welcome to the site of the municipality of Saint-Romain.

The town is located in the department of the Charente and is part of the township of Lavalette Tude and Dronne.

Its area is 22.69 km² or about 2269ha and its population is 566.

The inhabitants are called « Rominois » and « Rominoises ».

No water flows through Saint Romain. However, the Beauronne, small tributary of the Dronne, it takes its source and flows southwest, as well as a small tributary of the Tude to the north, and also the tiny stream Ecrevansou.

Many villages compose it. Different hiking trails await walkers. The castle Puycheni, is private, is located southwest of the town.
